The Face Behind kiosko.berlin

I’m Hilke Dethleff – marketing manager and label strategist. For more than 20 years, I’ve been guiding artists, labels, and projects – clear in strategy, strong in network, passionate in execution.

Hilke Dethleff

I have been working in the music industry for 25 years: starting in TV promotion at Warner, followed by MTV/Viva, I quickly found my footing in marketing as Senior Product Manager at Sony – first in Frankfurt, later in Berlin, where I’ve lived ever since.

After becoming self-employed already in 2008 (when Sony moved from Berlin to Munic), my other positions were:
Senior Product Manager at Four Music, the same for Kobalt (now Awal), Label Manager for Cooking Vinyl, consultant for Concord, freelance project manager for Noel Gallagher and Helloween, and most recently – since 2018 – permanent Label Manager at the Concord Label Group, distributed by Universal.

Having worked across various labels – including the Concord Label Group with its six sub-labels plus the extensive Craft catalog – I am able to assess and position every music genre for the German (and GSA) market: Pop, Rock, Metal, Urban, Indie, Folk, Electronic, Jazz & catalog.

What I Offer

I love music – and I love what I do.

Years of experience, great passion, and creative problem-solving. My comprehensive expertise in analytics, marketing, and PR, combined with a deep understanding of current developments in the music industry – especially in terms of digitalization and streaming – form a solid foundation for my work.
Thanks to an extensive network, I am well connected in both the German and international music markets.

When working with artists, respectful collaboration on equal terms is particularly important to me – an attitude that has proven valuable, especially with renowned acts, and is always highly appreciated. I consistently respect individual boundaries and wishes.

kiosko.berlin – Music with a Plan

For a long time, I carried the idea of opening my own “kiosk” – a place to bring together different ideas, skills, and teams. Out of this vision, kiosko.berlin was born: my own creative agency.

With kiosko.berlin, I support German and international artists, labels, and managements in positioning themselves successfully in the ever-changing music market – particularly in Germany, the GSA region, and across Europe.

I am supported by a network of experienced PR and influencer managers who work on a project basis and genre-specific.
